Cricket betting: Three arrested Rs. 8,200 cash, five cellphones seized

Mysuru: The CCB and Kuvempunagar Police, acting on a tip off, that some people were indulging in cricket betting in a hair cutting saloon on Sai Baba Temple Road in Ramakrishnanagar E&F Block, have arrested three persons and have seized Rs. 8,200 cash, five mobile-phones, a LED TV set and other items from them.

The arrested persons have been identified as Ajith of Arakere in Mandya, Shekhar, owner of the saloon and Sampath of Silanere village in K.R. Pet taluk.

A case has been registered at Kuvempunagar Police Station in this regard.

CCB ACP C. Gopal supervised CCB Inspector Prasanna Kumar, Kuvempunagar Inspector Vijayakumar, CCB ASI R. Raju and staff Asgar Khan, K.M. Mahadevu, Shylesh and Dhananjay in the nabbing and seizing operation.
