Daily wagers demand abolition of contract system

July 3, 2018

Mysuru: Demanding abolition of contract system, daily wage workers under the banner of the Karnataka State Daily Wagers Federation, staged a demonstration in front of the Town Hall here yesterday.

Urging for the implementation of the Supreme Court directive which regularises labourers who have worked for at least 240 days in a calendar year be implemented, the workers sought wages and facilities as recommended by the Sixth Pay Commission.
