Mysuru: The inauguration of Dasara Film Festival-2024 will be held on Oct. 3 at the KSOU Convocation Hall in Muktagangothri at 10.30 am.

The film festival will be inaugurated by District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa in the presence of CM Siddaramaiah, Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar and Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy.

Ministers K. Venkatesh and Shivaraj Tangadagi, Jungle Lodges and Resorts Chairman C. Anil Kumar, Mysore Sales International Limited Chairman C. Puttaranga Shetty, Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation Limited Chairman Ramesh Babu Bandisiddegowda, Karnataka State Guarantee Schemes Implementation Authority Vice-Chairperson Dr. Pushpa Amarnath will be present. The event will be presided by MLA K. Harish Gowda.

Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar and Chamarajanagar MP Sunil Bose will be the chief guests. Legislators Tanveer Sait, G.T. Devegowda, H. Vishwanath, Dr. D. Thimmaiah, C.N. Manjegowda, Madhu G. Madegowda, D. Ravishankar, G.D. Harishgowda, Darshan Dhruvanarayan, T.S. Srivatsa, Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah and K. Vivekananda, MUDA Chairman Marigowda, Karnataka Exhibition Authority Chairman Ayub Khan, Command Area Development Authority Chairman Mariswamy and Kannada Book Authority Chairman Dr. Manasa will be the guests of honour.

Regional Commissioner D.S. Ramesh, Deputy Commissioner and Dasara Special Officer G. Lakshmikanth Reddy, City Police Commissioner and Dasara Deputy Special Officer Seema Latkar,  SP and Dasara Deputy Special Officer N. Vishnuvardhan and ZP CEO and Dasara Deputy Special Officer K.M. Gayathri will be present.

Cine actors Ramesh Arvind, Daali Dhananjaya, Saptami Gowda, Sharanya Shetty and Akshitha Bopaiah and Film Producer Yogesh Dwarkish will add glamour to the event. The inaugural event will also feature entertainment programme by a team led by actor and music composer Sadhu Kokila.
