Day Care Centres in State to re-open shortly

Bengaluru: With reports of elderly citizens facing hardships in their homes due to negligence by junior members of the family or due to lack of facilities at their homes, the State Government has planned to re-open Day Care Centres for the elderly, which were shut down following the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic last year.

Following requests by a large number of elderly citizens for re-starting Day Care Centres, the Health Department is seriously considering re-opening of Day Care Centres for the elderly, at all District Headquarters of the State, it is learnt.
