February 4, 2020

Mysuru/Mysore: A District Monitoring Committee monthly meeting on implementation of Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan (SCSP) and Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) was held yesterday which was chaired by Deputy Commission Abhiram G. Sankar.

MLAs Ashwin Kumar, H.P. Manjunath and Department officials attended the meeting.

The details on utilisation of funds under SCSP and TSP were presented at the meeting. It was learnt that Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) had a grant of Rs.84 lakh but the expenditure was Rs.106 lakh and the DC sought explanation for the surplus expenditure of Rs.22 lakh.

Manjunath contended that officials were neglecting to furnish taluk-wise expenditures under the said Plans.

He pointed out the discrepancy in recruitment of candidates to posts in hostels.

Abhiram G. Sankar asked officials to ensure that the allocated funds for the beneficiaries should be effectively implemented.
