DC inaugurates Deepavali Sales Counter of Co-optex in city

Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner (DC) D. Randeep yesterday inaugurated the Deepavali Sales Counter of sarees and other dress materials set up byCo-optex at M.S. Hall in The Institution of Engineers on JLB Road here.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that people should encourage weavers by buying eco-friendly desi products which in turn would help the weavers.

Silk sarees woven by weavers from Tamil Nadu such as Kanchipuram, Arani and Coimbatore, bed-sheets,   pillow covers, towels, kurthis, chudidhar, nighty, carpets and readymade shirts for men are on display and sale from 10 am to 8 pm till Oct. 15 with up to 30% discount on the occasion of Deepavali festival.

BSNL Divisional Engineer H. Krishnegowda, Co-optex Divisional Officer G.Ambalagan, Manager Selvaraj, Social Worker Rajendra Prasad Honnalagere, M.S. Balasubramanyam, Industrialist K.M. Theertaprasad, Office Manager S. Prabhu and others were present.
