DDPUE inaugurates workshop for Chemistry lecturers

Mysore/Mysuru: Deputy Director of Pre-University Education (DDPUE) Nagamallesh has emphasised on conducting exams in accordance with the rules and inform the lecturers to ensure students get guidance and confidence to excel in exams.

He was speaking after inaugurating the day-long workshop for Chemistry lecturers organised by Mysuru District PU College Chemistry Lecturers Forum at Maharaja’s Pre-University College on JLB Road in city recently.

Deliberating on the topic ‘Measures to Improve Training and Results’, Dr. M.G. Ramananda, Principal, Government PU College, Mansina Koppal, explained how to get students engaged in learning through conducting revision classes and series of mock tests. He also asked the lecturers to make the best use of their influence on students to motivate them to pursue their goals and achieve success.

Dr. T.R. Siddaraju, Principal, Government PU College, Dodda Kaulande, briefed about practical exams, the role of internal and external examiners in conducting practical exams in accordance with the Department rules.

H.K. Krishnaiah, Principal, Government PU College, K.R. Nagar, spoke on newly introduced MCQs in question papers and discussed about the blue print with chapter-wise analysis.

Forum President Prof. N.A. Naseemuddin asked the lecturers and Principals to make use of the new question paper pattern and inform students about the benefits of the question paper both in theory and competitive exams to take up challenges.

Lecturers Y.R. Ramesh and Naina Kumari, who have been promoted as Principals and Javeeda Shaheen Sulthana and  Dr. Ningaraju, who retired from service were felicitated on the occasion. Latha, senior lecturer, compered. Parthasarthi proposed a vote of thanks.
