Dejected youth ends life

T.N. Pur: A 22-year-old youth has allegedly committed suicide by hanging self at a lodge located on Mysuru Main Road in Hale Thirumakudalu here on Thursday night.

The deceased has been identified as N. Madhu, son of late Nanjundappa of Mudukunapura of the taluk. The youth, who has working at Bengaluru, had come to his village to see his ailing mother Dakshayini who was unable to walk after sustaining fracture on her leg.

Upset over his helplessness in taking care of his mother properly, the youth is said to have slipped into depression.

Madhu, who left his house on Apr.16 under the pretext of leaving to Bengaluru for work, had booked a room in the lodge.     

The incident came to light when the room boy found the room locked from inside and peeped from the window only to find the youth in hanging position.

On receiving information,   Town SI Yasmin Taj and ASI Shankarappa rushed to the spot.

A case has been registered at the Town Police Station.
