Driver killed as Goods Auto topples

Mysuru: A 35-year-old Goods Auto driver was killed when the APE Auto he was driving toppled on the outskirts of the city yesterday. Swamy of Hosahundi in Mysuru taluk is the deceased.

Swamy was transporting household articles in the Goods Auto (KA55/7239) on the stretch of the Outer Ring Road from H.D. Kote Junction to Nanjangud Road Junction, when the auto went out of control and toppled after crashing into the road median near Koppalu Gate at about 2.20 pm.

Swamy, who sustained serious head injuries in the mishap, was rushed to JSS Hospital, where he was declared brought dead, it is learnt.

K.R. Traffic Police have registered a case in this regard.
