Dental colleges in city to be shut till month end

Mysore/Mysuru:  Following directions from the Medical Education Department, the two Dental Colleges in the city — JSS Dental College & Hospital and Farooqia Dental College & Hospital, have declared holiday for students till Mar. 31.

Speaking to SOM this morning, JSS Dental College Principal Dr. S. Ravindra said following the directives of the Indian Dental Association(IDA) and JSSAHER, in the wake of Coronavirus scare, the College has declared a holiday for students till Mar. 31 and as such the attached Dental hospital will also be shut till then. The College will take a decision on extending the holiday beyond Mar. 31 depending upon the situation then.

Farooquia Dental College Principal Dr. B.G. Yogesh said that the College has declared a holiday for students following directions from IDA and RGUHS(Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences), till Mar. 31.  

However, emergency dental services will be available at both the Colleges.
