Mysore/Mysuru: A 40-year-old dentist committed suicide by hanging self at his residence in J.P. Nagar here yesterday.

The deceased is Dr. M.P. Ravikumar, who had a Dental Clinic at Saraswathipuram.

Yesterday at about 11.30 am, the Dentist’s parents left for a temple leaving Dr. Ravikumar at home. When they returned at about 1 pm and knocked the door, Dr. Ravikumar did not open the door and when they peeped through the window, they saw their son hanging in the veranda of the house.

According to Police sources, Dr. Ravikumar’s wife and child were staying away from him since two years and depressed over this, he may have ended his life.

Vidyaranyapuram Police have registered a case.
