Mysore/Mysuru: Prof. Sen B. Mathews, Director, Centre for Employability and Corporate Relations (CECR), Kristu Jayanti College, Bengaluru, has said happiness in life can be achieved if competence was acquired by focusing on specific goal towards success.
He was speaking in a webinar on the topic ‘Career Skill Enrichment’ for final year students of Christ College organised by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the College here recently. The objective of the programme was to help aspiring students to acquire soft skill and life skill required towards their career path.
Prof. Mathews’ talk included preparedness and presentation required for job competence, and expectations to be met while facing interviews and group discussion. He stressed on expectations from recruiter such as attitude, behaviour, body language, goal setting and self-introduction from students during campus interview.
Celesty conducted the programme. V. Sneha rendered the invocation. Shanthika V. Bhat welcomed. Principal Rev. Fr. P.D. Biju welcomed. N. Bhuvanashree proposed a vote of thanks. In the end, a question-answer session was held in which students clarified their doubts regarding skills with resource person.
