Devi Navaratri celebrations at Ganapathy Ashrama from tomorrow

Mysuru: Sri Avadhoota Datta Peetha has organised Devi Navaratri celebrations at Nada Mantapa of Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama, Ooty Road, Mysuru, from Sept. 21 to Oct.1 in the presence of Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji and Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji.

Daily events from Sept. 21 to 30 include: 9 am – Devi Utsava, Kumari Puja, Srichakra Puja, Navavarana Puja; 12 noon – Annarchana, Devi Puja, HomaPurnahuti; 4 pm –  Mahamangala Arati, Suvasini Puja, Dolotsava; 6 pm – Bhajans and discourse by  Sri Swamiji.

Music concerts at 9.30 am

Sept. 21:  Karnatak vocal by Vid. Madurai G.S. Mani, accompanied by Vidu. Padma Shankar – violin, Vid. K.V. Prasad – mrudanga, Vid. V. Suresh – ghata.

Sept. 22: Karnatak vocal by Vidu. S. Sowmya, Vid. EmbarKannan – violin, Vid. Neyveli Narayanan – mrudanga, Vid. S. Manjunath – ghata.

Sept. 23: Karnatak vocal by Vidu. Gayathri Venkataraghavan, Vid. Mysore V. Srikanth – violin, Vid. Tumkur B. Ravishankar – mrudanga, Vid. Omkar Rao – ghata.

Sept. 24: Karnatak vocal by T.S. Pattabhirama Pandit, Vid. V.V.S. Murari – violin, Vid. H.S. Sudhindra – mrudanga,  Vid. S. Srishyla – ghatam.

Sept. 25: Karnatak vocal by Vid. Kunnakudi M. Balamuralikrishna, Vidu. H.M. Smitha – violin, Vid. Arjun Kumar – mrudanga, Vid. Shree Sundar Kumar – kanjira.
