Digital Phodi Drive in State from tomorrow: Revenue Minister

Bengaluru:  Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda has instructed all the Deputy Commissioners and Tahsildars, to launch a Digital Phodi drive from tomorrow (Sept. 2) to undo the errors in land related documents under Forms 1 to 5, across the State.

The Minister held a video conference meeting with the Deputy Commissioners, Tahsildars, Revenue Inspectors and other Officers of the Department yesterday, to expedite the process of correcting the phodis pending since several decades.

Even though about 10 lakh acres of Government land were allotted to 10 lakh farmers under Akrama-Sakrama, over 10 years ago, the lacunae in phodis remain to be addressed. Barring some of the farmers, majority of the farmers are facing severe    issues, he said.
