District Minister to camp in Mysuru till Sept.11

Somanna to hold series of Dasara meetings with officials, elected representatives of the district

Mysuru: District Minister V. Somanna, who has been camping in Mysuru from Sept.6, will stay in city till Sept.11 to take part in various programmes and to oversee preparations for this year’s Dasara celebrations.

Sept.9: Somanna will hold breakfast meeting with Mysuru District in-Charge Secretary, Regional Commissioner, DC, ZP CEO, City Police Commissioner, SP and other officials to discuss on Dasara preparations at MUDA office from 8.30 am.

At 11.30 am, Somanna will hold meeting with elected representatives and taluk level officers at Periyapatna Taluk Office regarding Dasara celebrations. Later, at 1.30 pm, he will hold Janaspandana at Hunsur. At 2.30 pm, Somanna will preside over the Dasara meeting with elected representatives and taluk level officers at Hunsur City Municipal auditorium. At 5 pm, the Minister will hold a meeting with the representatives of Hotel, Tourism and Industrial sectors at Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel to discuss on this year’s Dasara followed by a meeting with Mysore Bar Association President and office-bearers. 

Sept.10: Breakfast with Mahouts and Kavadis at Mysore Palace at 8.30 am followed by Dasara meeting with the elected representatives and taluk level officers at T. Narasipur Taluk Office at 11 am. At 2 pm, Janaspandana at Nanjangud. At 3 pm, he will visit the flood-affected areas at Nanjangud to inspect the relief works. At 5 pm, Dasara meeting with elected representatives and taluk level officers at Nanjangud Taluk Office.

Sept.11: Janaspandana at K.R. Nagar at 10 am followed by Dasara meeting with elected representatives and taluk level officers at K.R. Nagar Taluk Panchayat office. At 1 pm, lunch with Pourakarmikas at Mysuru City Corporation premises and departure for Bengaluru on road at 3 pm.
