Mysuru: Mysuru District Youth Convention and District Youth Club Award Presentation Ceremony will held at Town Hall in city on Feb.18 at 11 am.

The event is organised by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sport,  Nehru Yuva Kendra, Mysuru district and the NSS unit of University of Mysore (UoM).

District Minister G.T. Devegowda will inaugurate. Tourism Minister S.R. Mahesh will distribute District Youth Club Award. MP Pratap Simha will distribute sports kits. MLA A.H. Vishwanath will administer oath on National Integration. MLA L. Nagendra will preside.

District Youth Club Award

Sri Vinayaka Yuvakara Sangha of Sagarakatte village in Yelwal hobli of Mysuru taluk, is chosen for the District Youth Club Award which carries a cash prize of Rs.25,000 and a citation.

District-level Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Award

Following youth organisations have been selected for the District-level Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Award: Abhyudaya Mahila Samaj of J.P. Nagar – First prize with a  cash purse of Rs.30,000 and a citation; R. Sowbhagya of Vishweshwaranagar – Second prize with Rs.20,000 and a citation; Shivanna of Kundanahalli in Periyapatna taluk – Third prize with Rs.10,000 and a citation, according to release from the District Youth Coordinator for Nehru Yuva Kendra M.N. Nataraj.
