Do we require massive statues?

January 17, 2020

Sir,

The construction and erection of massive statues of great personalities is a meaningless exercise. Such huge amount of tax-payers’ money could be used for other constructive purposes such as providing good roads and various other hygienic measures for the safety and well-being of the citizens.

The Central and State Governments’ plan in this direction is intended for building vote-banks.

Do we not have the idols of so many Gods and Goddesses for our worship and those are not massive and stand sky high!

May God bless our politicians and rulers with better wisdom in this regard.
