Doubling money: Man cheated of Rs. 1.78 lakh online

Mysore/Mysuru: An online fraudster, who lured a man into investing money by promising to double it, has cheated the man to the tune of Rs. 1.78 lakh.

The man, who has been cheated, is 31-year-old J.S. Rajashekar, a resident of Hosabandikeri in K.R. Mohalla.

Rajashekar, who came to know about the unidentified man through Telegram App, was lured into investing money with a promise of doubling it and Rajashekar had transferred Rs. 1,78,929 online, thus getting cheated.

A case has been registered at city’s CEN Police Station.
