Mysore/Mysuru: “Dr. C.N. Manjunath, who has been steering Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research Centre in the State, has made them one among  the premier Government Hospitals in the country and ensures excellent services even for the poorest,” opined Chairman of Mysore Paints and Varnish Ltd. (MPVL) R. Raghu. He was speaking at a function held at city’s Jayadeva Hospital recently.

“Dr. Manjunath has been conferred Nadoja Award for his dedicated service in health sector. Awards will gain more respect and dignity only when they are given to deserving persons. All the awards which have been conferred on Dr. Manjunath during his illustrious career, have attained greater respect. Through sheer love and commitment, Dr. Manjunath has developed Jayadeva Hospitals at Bengaluru and Mysuru  and  ensured that even the poorest in the society get better health services in these facilities,” he said.

Stating that the contributions of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar and other rulers of Mysore to the city are unforgettable, Raghu said that Jayadeva Hospital in the city under Dr. Manjunath, is fulfilling the aspirations of Nalwadi in the post-independence era.

“In Mysuru, Jayadeva Hospital headed by Dr. K.S. Sadananda and under the guidance of Dr. Manjunath, is successfully carrying out its operations. The Government is also giving full support to this institute. Jayadeva Hospital is a temple where patients are defeating diseases,” added Raghu.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Manjunath said that Mysuru Jayadeva Hospital has treated more than one lakh patients so far and described it as a significant achievement. “An Institute cannot grow with the help of Government alone. Co-operation of the staff and all sections of the society are also very much essential. The Jayadeva Hospital is getting enormous support which is beyond expectations,” said Dr. Manjunath.
