‘Easy Biz’ throws light on ‘ESI, PF and Labour Laws’

‘Easy Biz,’ a summit for ESI, PF and Labour Laws hosted by Rotary Mysore Midtown for the benefit of organisations in and around Mysuru, was held at Hotel Grand Mercure near Highway Circle on Sayyaji Rao Road in city this morning.

Speaking as the chief guest, Dr. N. Muthukumar, Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mysuru Chapter, said that India was very much conducive for investments and investors need not have to take a second look at investing. Pointing out that India is a fast-growing country, he said that every business starts with investment and the Prime Minister’s initiatives such as Make in India and Digital India concepts have propelled the economic growth of the country.

Observing that India has one of the best ESI and PF mechanisms in the world, he said that companies need to focus more on customers, besides securing their bottomline.

Highlighting the significance in business and manufacturing, Dr. Muthukumar said that growth was the key word in today’s global economy. He also stressed on the need for keeping updated on the latest changes in Governmental policies.

ESI Commissioner Sathyanarayana Manikara, PF Commissioner Dr. G. Shivakumara, Assistant Labour Commissioner Meena Patil, Vocational Service Director K.V. Bhaskar, Rotary Mysore Midtown President K.B. Harish, Secretary A.N. Aiyanna and others were present.

More than 100 representatives of trading, manufacturing and corporate companies attended the seminar.
