Eco Club inaugurated

Club sponsored by Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) was inaugurated at Maharani’s Science College for Women  by Principal Prof. Vijaya Kumari recently.

Addressing the students,  she said that we all must realise our responsibility to pass on a pollution-free environment to our next generation and also briefed on the importance of Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation to ensure the future of our planet is safe.

After inauguration, D.K. Dinesh Kumar, Project Engineer, KREDL, explained about progress of Renewable Energy in India and Karnataka. He explained various subsidy schemes offered by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) for people to install roof top grid connected system, NABARD scheme for rural domestic solar home light systems and solar water pumping systems.

Dr. P.H. Thejaswini, Science Forum Convenor and others were present.
