Elected as Chairman, Vice-Chairman of CII Karnataka State Council

Mysuru: Dr. N. Muthukumar, President and Whole Time Director of Automotive Axles Limited (AAL), has been unanimously elected as the Chairman, CII Karnataka State Council for the year 2018-19 while Aman Choudhari, Managing Director of Surin Automotive Pvt. Ltd., has been elected as its Vice-Chairman.

Profile: Dr. Muthukumar joined AAL in 2008 as GM operations and currently heads the company’s India Operations & Export Business. He did his PhD in Operations Management, from Annamalai University in 2014. He also holds an MBA in International Marketing and an M.Sc.in Applied Sciences.

Dr. Muthukumar, who has over 28 years of experience in the Automobile and Pharmaceutical sector, commenced his career with TVS Srichakra Tyres in 1987 and became Head of Manufacturing Systems by 1994. He headed the Business Process Re-engineering in TVS Group and later became Head Operations for Sundaram Industries Limited. He then moved to the TTK Group, running their International Business for about 6 years, before joining Automotive Axles Limited.

Aman Choudhari has been the Co-convenor of the CII Manufacturing Panel and the Convener of the CII Karnataka Economic Affairs & Taxation Panel 2014-15 and is the Convener of the MSME Panel for the last two years. He is an active member of Young President Organisation (YPO) and has been the Chapter Chair of the Bangalore chapter of YPO in 2015-16.

Surin Automotive is an auto component manufacturing company having Gross sales of  Rs. 830 crore in CY 17 with 12 manufacturing plant in 6 States of India and serves the largest Automotive and Construction Equipment OEM’s in the country.
