By-election Battle: Voters this time want a change: C.S. Niranjan Kumar

April 7, 2017

Star of Mysore (SOM): How is the atmosphere in the constituency and what is the response?

C.S. Niranjan Kumar: BJP has all chances for victory in Gundlupet. Rural belts have given me many hopes this time and the response is tremendous.

People have decided that this time, it will be BJP and I am sure that the Lotus (BJP party symbol) will bloom here.

SOM: What are your election issues?

C.S. Niranjan Kumar: I have gone before people highlighting the development works initiated by the BJP when the party was in power. When BJP State President B.S. Yeddyurappa was the Chief Minister, he had taken the initiative of filling lakes and ponds with water. Plus I have also highlighted the pro-people projects taken up by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

SOM: You have lost the last election. Is this your main canvassing point?

C.S. Niranjan Kumar: My father and I lost the election twice. People know this and their sympathies are with me. They will surely make me victorious. Let there be no doubt about my win.

SOM: What will be your priorities if you win?

C.S. Niranjan Kumar: Drinking water will be my priority as during the campaign rallies I have witnessed people struggling for water. Many voters have told me that half the problems in villages will be eased if the drinking water issue is solved.  I will ensure that the lakes and ponds are de-silted and filled  with water.
