As part of Children’s Day, the Women and Child Development Department has invited entries from eligible children for State-level Bravery Awards – Hoysala, Keladi Chennamma and Child Welfare.
Boys aged between 6 and 18 years, who have shown exemplary valour and bravery in rescuing/saving people or any such other acts can apply for Hoysala award, while girls aged between 6 and 18 years can apply for Keladi Chennamma award. Both the awards carry a cash prize of Rs.10,000 each and a citation.
Individuals who have worked in the field of child welfare for a minimum of 5 years will be given State-level Best Child Welfare award (cash prize of Rs.25,000) and organisations which have worked in the same field will be given a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh.
Those interested can obtain the prescribed application forms from the Department Office located at Stree Shakti Bhavan, Vijayanagar Second Stage in the city and the same must be filled in Kannada and returned along with all supporting records before Aug.14.
