Ex-Dy. Mayor T. Devaraj passes away

Former Deputy Mayor T. Devaraj (59) passed away at a private hospital here last night following heart attack.

A resident of Brindavan Extension, he leaves behind his wife Sukanya, a daughter, 3 sons and a host of relatives and friends.

Devaraj was elected as a Corporator for 3 terms and had served as Deputy Mayor of the city once. He was also the Treasurer of Mysuru-Chamarajanagar Arya Idigara Sangha.

A philanthophist, Devaraj was making preparations for mass marriage that was organised by the Sangha on Mar.23.

Last rites were performed at the burial ground on Jodi Tenginamara Road in Bannimantap this afternoon.
