Ex-MLA Bhima Nayak is KMF Chairman

June 24, 2023

Bengaluru: Former Hagaribommanahalli Congress MLA Bhima Nayak has been elected unopposed as the new Chairman of Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF).

BJP MLA Balachandra Jarakiholi, who was the earlier Chairman, had quit the post following the change of Government post Assembly polls. With the post becoming vacant, the Government decided to hold fresh election for electing the new Chairman. Bhima Nayak was the lone candidate to file nomination papers and as such he was declared elected unopposed on Wednesday as the new Chairman of KMF, one of the key bodies of the Government.

Bhima Nayak is said to be a close associate of Chief Minister Siddharamaiah.
