Ex-MLA H.C. Basavaraju appointed as Member of Tobacco Board

Mysore/Mysuru: Former Periyapatna MLA H.C. Basavaraju has been appointed as a Member of Tobacco Board.

The Union Ministry of Commerce, in a notification issued on June 2, 2022, said that H.C. Basavaraju from Karnataka has been appointed as a Member of Tobacco Board as a representative of tobacco growers, for a period of 3 years. 

H.R. Dinesh (growers representative) and Mittapalli Ramesh Babu (Dealers, packers and exporters representative)  are two others  from Karnataka appointed to the Tobacco Board.
