UPSC prelims exam passes off smoothly in city

Mysore/Mysuru: The Civil Services Preliminary  Exam-2022, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) went off smoothly today at all the 17 centres in city.

The Exam consisted of two papers — General Studies-I and General Studies-II — which was held in two sessions. A total of 6,468 candidates had registered for the exam in the city centres, out of which 3651 attended, while 2,817 candidates were absent.

DDPUE D.K. Srinivasmurthy  visited all the exam centres and supervised the conduct of exams.

City Police had clamped prohibitory orders in 200 mts radius around all the exam centres to ensure smooth conduct of the exam. Also, all photocopy shops in the vicinity of the exam centres were asked to shut down for the day.
