February 10, 2022

Bengaluru: Even as the headscarf-saffron shawl row has snowballed into a major issue  forcing the Government to declare  a three-day holiday for educational institutions since yesterday, Minister for Higher Education Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayan said that the exams for various courses will be held as scheduled earlier.

Speaking to presspersons here on Wednesday, Dr. Ashwathnarayan said that the Government has declared a three-day holiday for all classes from standard nine and above. The holiday is applicable to all Degree, Diploma and Professional Colleges as well, he said adding that the Government has taken this decision as a Law and Order measure. Though the Government has declared the holiday, it will not alter the exam schedules, he said adding that educational institutions have taken the online mode to make up for the academic loss.
