City Traffic Cops clear footpath encroachments

Mysore/Mysuru: Following complaints by the public on footpath encroachments, Krishnaraja (KR) Traffic Police, who swung into action, conducted an operation and cleared footpath encroachments near RTO (West) Office, Ballal Circle, in front of City Law Courts Complex and surrounding places yesterday afternoon and made way for the pedestrians.

The K.R. Traffic Police had received many complaints of footpath encroachments by fast food, petty shops, fruits and vegetable vendors, tea shops at Ballal Circle, RTO (West) office and surrounding places following which K.R. Traffic Inspector D. Manjunath, Sub-Inspector Pooja, Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) Lokesh, Kantharaju and Puttaswamy, Head Constable H. Krishnamurthy and staff conducted an operation and got the encroachments cleared. Inspector Manjunath has warned of imposing fines if people encroach footpaths to conduct business.
