Expiry of Building Licence: MCC issues notice to stop construction of new Police Commissioner’s office building

Mysuru: The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has issued a notice asking to immediately stop the ongoing construction of the new City Police Commissioner’s Office building following the expiry of the Building Licence period.

The Building Licence procured in 2014-15 ended on Dec. 6, 2018. The Assistant Commissioner of MCC Zone 1, who has issued the notice to the City Police Commissioner, has asked to stop the construction till the Licence is renewed.

The MCC issued the notice following a complaint from a local resident.

Meanwhile, Police sources said that application has already been given for the renewal of                Building Licence and Sanction Plan and after 20 days we have received the notice from the MCC Zonal office. Only MCC Licence has to be renewed, sources added.
