Family feud: Man kills wife, packs body in bag, lodges missing complaint

T. Narsipur: Family feud allegedly led a man to kill his 35-year-old wife. After the crime, he disposed of the body in a bag and lodged a missing complaint to escape Police action. The incident has been reported near Biligere Hundi in the taluk.

While the deceased his Jyothi, her husband is 51-year-old Jayakumar of Varuna village. Jayakumar has been arrested now.

On Oct. 26, the body of Jyothi was found near Biligere Hundi village and Jayakumar is said to have confessed to killing her near Duddagere and had disposed of her body in a bag.

Jyothi had married Jayakumar about 14 years ago and the couple has a 11-year-old daughter. Relatives of Jyothi, who had doubts about her death, had lodged a complaint at the Town Police Station. In-charge Circle Inspector M.S. Shekar and Sub-Inspector Azaruddin, who took up the investigation, arrested Jayakumar.
