Farmer dies after casting vote

Mandya: A 30-year-old farmer died after casting his vote at Mallanayakanakatte village in Mandya taluk yesterday.

Bommegowda (30) is the deceased. Bommegowda, who exercised his franchise in the morning, was taking rest at his house, when he reportedly died of a heart attack.

Woman casts vote after conducting last rites of husband

In another incident, a woman from KRS cast her vote after performing the last rites  of her husband who died on Wednesday.

Satish Jain, a resident of KRS in Srirangapatna taluk reportedly died of a heart attack on Wednesday.

His wife Madhu Jain, after performing the last rites of her husband on Thursday morning, cast her vote at KRS booth No. 212, it is learnt.
