Farmers lay siege to KRS Dam

Mandya: More than 100 farmers under the banner of KRRS this morning laid siege to the entry of  KRS Dam at Srirangapatna Taluk in the district, demanding immediate release of water to all canals of the Dam and stoppage of water to Tamil Nadu. But tight security prevented the farmers from entering into the Dam site. The farmers were led by KRRS leader Nanjundegowda.

Indefinite stir : Meanwhile, the indefinite stir jointly launched by KRRS and Cauvery Hitarakshana Samithi demanding release of water to all canals of Cauvery basin, at Sir MV statue on Mysuru-Bengaluru road at Mandya, entered the second day today.
