Mysuru: Supporting the protest to be led by social crusader Anna Hazare tomorrow (Mar.23) in New Delhi seeking waiving of loans of farmers and implementation of Swaminathan Report, members of Federation of Farmers Associations of State and State Sugarcane Growers Association will stage a protest on Mar.23 at all district centres in the State.

Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here on Tuesday, Federation State General Secretary S.N. Basavannavar warned of intensifying the protest by farmers on the lines of Maharashtra if the Government continues to neglect the demands of farmers.

Federation District President Bhagyaraj further said that farmers would stage a protest on Mar.23 at 11 am near Gandhi’s bust in front of Law Courts Complex in city.

He added that thousands of farmers would take out a rally in city on Mar.27 seeking a scientific price for sugarcane and also lay siege to the DC’s office.

Several farmer leaders were present at the press meet.
