Mysuru: Folk Artiste Malavalli Dr. Mahadevaswamy, the recipient of Hon. Doctorate from University of Mysore (UoM), will be felicitated at a programme jointly organised by Sapta Swara Sinchana Trust and Amma Vasundhara Trust at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha in city tomorrow (May 6) at 4 pm,” said Sapta Swara Sinchana Trust President N. Harish.

He was speaking at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavana in city yesterday.

Folk Artiste and Research Student Amma Ramachandra, who spoke, said that the UoM by honouring Dr. Mahadevaswamy has honoured all Folk Artistes.

Dr. K.S. Sadananda, Medical Superintendent, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Mysuru, will inaugurate the programme

M. Nanjundaiah, MCC Zonal Commissioner, will preside. Dr. Nanjaiah Honganur, Head of UoM Folklore Department, will deliver a special lecture on Dr. Mahadevaswamy.

The programme will be followed by folk songs recital by Amma Ramachandra and troupe at 6 pm. Dr. Mahadevaswamy will perform at 7 pm.
