Felicitation volume and seven books of writer Dr. V. Ranganath released

Mysore/Mysuru: Samskruti Prakashana in association with Vijay Foundation and Akhila Bharatiya Sahitya Parishat had organised a book release programme at Sarada Vilas College Centenary Hall, Krishnamurthypuram here recently.

Manasagangothri Journalism Department Head Dr. Niranjana Vanalli released the following seven books written by thinker, writer, columnist and retired Tahsildar Dr. V. Ranganath: 

Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Kalada Kalavidaru; Kopave Solu, Sahaneye Geluvu; Nambike Galisona, Nambike Ulisona; Mane Doddadayitu, Mana Chikkadayitu; Elige Anjida Huli haagoo Mattitara Kathegalu; Shishu Geetegalu and Makkala Mooru Kiru Kadambarigalu. 

Speaking after releasing the books, Dr. Niranjana Vanalli lauded the simplicity and modest nature of Dr. Ranganath.

Senior scholar Dr. N.S. Tharanath presided over the event. Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) President S.T. Ravikumar, thinker Dr. V. Ranganath and writer Samskruti Subrahmanya were present. 

Later in the afternoon, Senior Pracharak of RSS S. Ramanna released a felicitation volume named ‘Rangabhinandana’ at the same venue. Editor of felicitation volume and writer Samskriti Subrahmanya spoke about the works of Dr. V. Ranganath. 

MLA L. Nagendra, Corporator Shivakumar, former Corporator Shankar, founder of Chutuku Sahitya Parishat Dr. M.G.R. Urs, former President of District Kannada Sahitya Parishat Chandrashekhar and other artists and writers felicitated Dr. Ranganath couple on this occasion.

Industrialist Dr. B.R. Pai presided. Former MLC G. Madhusudhan, National Organising Secretary of Samskara Bharathi P.R. Krishnamurthy and others were present at the function.
