Fertility and IVF facility relaunched at Manipal Hospital

July 26, 2026

Mysuru: Marking World IVF Day, Manipal Hospital Mysuru relaunched its Fertility and IVF Centre by strengthening its fertility services with upgraded technology, enhanced infrastructure and a wider range of advanced reproductive treatments.

The facility was relaunched by Rtn. Sam Cherian, Founder-Chairman of Schevaran Laboratories and Cleanfix-Schevaran Systems and DCP (Law and Order) Dr. Harsha Priyamvada in the presence of Dr. Nivedita Shetty, Director and Consultant – Reproductive Medicine at Manipal Hospital, Mysuru, Dr. Upendra Shenoy, Chief of Clinical Services, B.J. Sandeep Patel, Hospital Director and other dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Rtn. Sam Cherian said “Infertility is a challenge that affects not just physical health but also the emotional well-being of couples and families. It is encouraging to see healthcare institutions like Manipal Hospital Mysuru strengthening access to advanced fertility care while also creating greater awareness about reproductive health. The relaunch of this advanced Fertility and IVF Centre is an important step towards helping more couples receive timely guidance, compassionate support and evidence-based treatment, giving them renewed hope on their journey to parenthood.”

DCP Dr. Harsha Priyamvada said “Health awareness plays a vital role in encouraging people to seek timely medical care without hesitation or stigma. Infertility is a medical condition that deserves understanding, support, and access to the right expertise. I congratulate Manipal Hospital Mysuru on relaunching its advanced Fertility and IVF Centre and wish the team success in helping more couples achieve their dream of starting a family.”

Dr. Nivedita Shetty explained that infertility today cannot be attributed to a single factor. Delayed parenthood, increasing lifestyle-related conditions, hormonal disorders, stress and reproductive health concerns among both men and women are contributing to the growing need for fertility evaluation and treatment. She also emphasised that knowing when to seek help can make an important difference.

“One of the common challenges we see is couples delaying evaluation because they believe they should simply continue trying naturally. Timely consultation allows us to understand the underlying cause and guide couples towards the treatment that is appropriate for their individual situation,” Dr. Nivedita said.

The relaunched centre provides a comprehensive range of fertility services, from ovulation induction, follicular monitoring and intrauterine insemination (IUI) to advanced assisted reproductive technologies including IVF, ICSI, blastocyst transfer, embryo freezing and frozen embryo transfer. Surgical sperm retrieval techniques such as MESA, TESA and TESE are also available for selected male infertility cases.

Speaking about the relaunch, Hospital Director B.J. Sandeep Patel said “The relaunch of our Fertility and IVF Centre reflects our commitment to strengthening comprehensive reproductive healthcare in Mysuru. Fertility treatment is not only about advanced technology; it is also about providing couples with the right information, clinical expertise, privacy, emotional support, and continuity of care throughout their journey. With upgraded infrastructure and advanced reproductive technologies, we aim to provide comprehensive fertility services under one roof while keeping care personalised and patient-centric.”

The Department of Fertility and IVF Facility at Manipal Hospital Mysuru offers evaluation and treatment across the spectrum of male and female infertility, supported by reproductive medicine specialists, advanced embryology and laboratory services, assisted reproductive technologies, genetic testing, fertility preservation and personalised treatment protocols.
