Fill 56,432 vacancies in Government Departments soon: AIDYO to CM

June 25, 2026

Mysuru: All India Democratic Youth Organisation (AIDYO) has submitted a memorandum addressed to the CM, at the DC’s office here on Tuesday, demanding to announce a notification for recruitment for 56,432 posts vacant in various Government Departments, in a total transparent manner.

In a memorandum submitted to Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) R. Aishwarya, it is stated that, following the struggle of job aspirants during the Winter Session of the State Legislature held at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Belagavi in December last, the State Government had sanctioned 56,432 posts. Six months have elapsed, but there is no further development yet, with the Government prolonging the process of recruitment, by citing lame excuses. The Ministers concerned have been coming out with contradictory statements, which has caused dilemma among job aspirants, the memorandum further stated.

If recruitment is delayed further, the job aspirants may not meet the criterion related to age, despite the Government announcing 5 year relaxation in age to consider them for recruitment. Hence, the Government should keep its promise made to fill the vacant posts at the earliest, the AIDYO leaders demanded.

In the recently announced job notification for Police Department, the fee for written examination has been hiked from Rs. 400 to Rs. 750. If the candidate belongs to Kalyana Karnataka Region (KKR), they have to  pay Rs. 1,500 in total — one for KKR and another for rest of KKR — which dents the pocket of already stressed job aspirants. Hence, the process of collecting the fee should be revoked, they said.

Most importantly, the recommendations of P.C. Hota Committee should be implemented, to check exam malpractices, the activists demanded.

AIDYO Mysuru District Secretary Suma, Members Neethushree, Poornima and Ranjith, job aspirants Shivanand, Anup, Bhaskar and Raghu were present.
