First Graduation Day of SBRR Mahajana College tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: The first Graduation Day ceremony of SBRR Mahajana First Grade College (autonomous), Jayalakshmipuram, Mysuru, will be held at Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam auditorium in the College premises tomorrow (June 4) at 11 am.

Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan in city yesterday, Pooja Bhagavat Memorial Mahajana Post Graduation (PG) Centre Director Dr. C.K. Renukarya said that this is the first Graduation Day of the College after it gained autonomous status in the year 2019-20.

A total of 274 PG students will receive their graduation certificates this year out of which 40 students have passed in distinction and 232 students have secured first class and two have got second class.

Dr. P. Nagabhushan, Vice- Chancellor (VC), Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology and Research, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, will present gold medals, certificates and cash prizes. He will also deliver the  Graduation Day address.

University of Mysore VC Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar will be the chief guest. Mahajana Education Society (MES) President T. Muralidhar Bhagavat will preside. MES Hon. Secretary Dr. T. Vijayalakshmi Muralidhar, College Principal Dr. B.R. Jayakumari, Controller of Examinations R. Manjunatha and other staff and students will be present.

Among the distinction and first class students, girl students are high in number. The distinction holders are: Srushti Janadri (M.Com), Archana Bernadette Pradeep (MSW), V. Priya Darshini (M.Sc Biochemistry), S.D. Nithya (M.Sc. Biotechnology), K.P. Pooja (M.Sc. Botany), J. Chinthana (M.Sc Chemistry), M.S. Divyashree (M.Sc. Computer Science), S. Chandana (M.Sc. Microbiology), P.K. Ponnamma (M.T.T.M) and K.S. Kavyashree (MBA).

MES President T. Muralidhar Bhagavat, College Principal Dr. B.R. Jayakumari, Controller of Examinations R. Manjunatha and Academic Dean Dr. H. Sreedhara were present at the press meet.
