First Open-Defecation-Free City certificate presented

Mayor M.J. Ravikumar and MCC Commissioner G. Jagadeesha are seen receiving the certificate that declares Mysuru as Open-Defecation-Free City from Chief Minister Siddharamaiah in Bengaluru as Ministers K.J. George, R. Roshan Baig and Eshwar Khandre look on. Mysuru was crowned the ‘First City Free of Open Defecation’ in the country in 2016. The city, which has more than a million population, has managed to bag the coveted cap due to the awareness and implementation by the government authorities.
