Mysore/Mysuru: Five achievers from different fields were conferred with ‘Rajendra Sri Seva Award’ at a programme organised under the aegis of Mysuru Sharana Mandali at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here yesterday.

The awardees are: CADA (Cauvery) Chairman P. Mariswamy, Additional DC Dr. P. Shivaraju, social worker Mahesh Shenoy (Managing Trustee, Kamakshi Hospital), Star of Mysore and Mysuru Mithra senior reporter M.T. Yogesh Kumar and industrialist R. Veeresh.

Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, MLC Dr. D. Thimmaiah lauded the Sharana Mandali for recognising achievers from different fields who are striving for the development of the society in their own way and presenting the award to them.

District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopal, social worker K. Raghuram Vajpayee, Sharana Mandali President Muguru Nanjundaswamy, Guruswamy and others were present.
