Language used at political meetings going deplorable: Theatre Director

Mysuru: A five-day ‘Niranthara Ranga Utsava,’ organised by Niranthara Foundation, commenced at Vanaranga in Rangayana premises here last evening.

Speaking at the inaugural function, theatre Director Prasad Kundoor of Niranthara, expressed apprehension over the continued decline in quality of language being spoken in society. Referring to political meetings, he regretted that highly offensive language was being freely used driving politics into a dangerous level.

He observed that feelings of people, attitude towards art and literature were undergoing changes and added that human values were  going down badly.

He averred that the medium of theatre alone can reveal naked truth which may drive an artiste into a minority group.
