Five-year-old boy dies of suspected dengue

Mysuru: A five-year-old child died of suspected dengue at a private hospital in city this morning. The deceased has been identified as Yeshwanth, resident of Malligepura located on KRS Backwaters.

Sources said that Yeshwanth, a UKG student at St. Joseph School in Jayalakshmipuram, was admitted three-days back to the hospital and was tested positive for dengue. As the treatment did not yield any result, he passed away at 3 am today.

The hospital has sent the blood samples to the Government laboratory to confirm dengue death.
