November 4, 2017

Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner (DC) D. Randeep has asked the officials to focus more on implementation of the Government’s ambitious Mathrupoorna scheme aimed at providing nutrition-rich food to pregnant women and lactating mothers through Anganawadi Kendras.

Speaking at a progress review meeting of various departments concerned with the implementation of the Prime Minister’s 15 point-programme recently, he instructed the officials to collect information on the number of minority Anganawadi Kendras and the number of children enrolled in them.

The DC also directed the MCC  officials to gather statistics on the number of minorities living in huts and to provide them housing under housing schemes.

Minorities Welfare Department official Puttaraju said that the Department has identified three-and-a-half acres land for the construction of Moulana Azad Boys and Girls Hostels.

DC Randeep asked the officials to install boards wherever the Minorities Welfare Department is executing developmental works and to expedite the ongoing works.

State Wakf Council Member Subhan, PM’s 15-point programme nominated member Suresh Kumar Jain, Mohammed Rafiq, Arokia Das and others attended the meeting.
