Food to hostel inmates to be supplied through hostel warden

University of Mysore Registrar Prof. R. Rajanna has said that inmates of PG men and women students hostel of the University will be supplied food through the hostel warden.

Speaking to SOM yesterday, Prof. Rajanna said, food was hitherto being served through the contractor. But in the wake of protests by women hostel inmates over poor quality of food served to them, he has taken this decision, he said. Currently food is being served to the hostel inmates from round canteen in Manasagangothri for the past four days and there were no complaints on the quality of food, he said and added that the new system will come into force from the next academic year, as the current academic year will come to a close in a couple of months.
