Footpath encroachment clearance drive

Mysore/Mysuru: Continuing their drive against footpath encroachers, Devaraja, Krishnaraja, Narasimharaja, Siddarthanagar and V.V. Puram Traffic Police, who conducted the drives at their respective jurisdictions yesterday, have issued 25 notices against footpath encroachers besides registering cases and collecting spot fines from the offenders.

During the drive conducted on Jayaram Pandit Road, Mission Hospital Road, Ramavilas Road, K.V. Road, Mahadevapura Road, Temple Road and Koorgalli Road, the Traffic Cops have registered 19 cases under Karnataka Police Act and three cases under Indian Motor Vehicle act besides collecting Rs. 3,000 spot fine and issuing notices to footpath encroachers. DCP (Crime and Traffic) M.S. Geetha Prasanna and ACP (Traffic) S.E. Gangadharswamy guided Inspectors and staff of all Traffic Police Stations in the footpath encroachment clearance drives.
