Forest Dept. deputes cane weavers to Assam for training

As part of the birth centenary celebrations of late Chief Minister D. Devaraj Urs and under the aegis of Devaraj Urs Bidiru Vana Abhivrudhi Samithi, the Forest Department has sent 26 beneficiaries of Medar community of Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts to Assam to undergo training in weaving cane products being held from Mar. 22 to April 3.

The seven beneficiaries of Hunsur and Periyapatna taluks were accorded a warm farewell at the Office of the DCF in the town on Mar.22.
