Former Minister Omprakash Kanagali passes away

Belagavi: Former Karnataka Minister Omprakash Kanagali passed away yesterday. He was 69. He had served as Irrigation Minister and Belagavi District Minister in the Cabinet of former Karnataka CM S.M. Krishna.

Former Karnataka Minister and senior Congress leader Omprakash Kanagali, son of former Union Minister late B. Shankarananda, died at KLE Hospital in the early hours of yesterday after a prolonged illness. He is survived by one son and a daughter.

The last rites were held in his native place Kanagala Village in Chikkodi taluk in the evening.
