Mysore/Mysuru: Former Minster C.H. Vijayashankar laid the foundation stone for the proposed new Dhyana Kendra at the premises of Rajayoga Retreat Centre of International Spiritual Centre, Prajapita Brahma Kumari  Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya at Lingadevarakoppal, Hunsur Road, on Oct. 5 (Vijayadashami).

Speaking on the occasion, Vijayashankar said, “Vijayadashami symbolises the victory of Devi Shakti over evil forces. It is the indication of the destruction of all bad elements. Vijayadashami is the day when Devi Shakti decides to create a state of well-being to all human beings. On this day, Pandavas scored victory over Kauravas. Banni Tree is a form of Kali. Before undertaking Vanavas, Pandavas offered all their weapons to Banni Tree with a request to safeguard them. They later reclaim them in their fight against Kauravas to re-establish righteousness. Vijayadashami is day of the victory of good over evil.”

He concluded by saying that it is commendable that the Retreat Centre’s foundation stone is being laid on this auspicious day and hoped it would be offered to public use shortly.
